A burbling river runs through this dish of amber, Prussian blue and ivory glass with gold mica accents. As the pieces of glass melted and spread in the kiln, the layers of colour became thinner in some places and thicker in others. I cold worked the piece to get a uniform shape and added small nuggets of glass on top before a second firing. The final firing at a lower temperature over a slump mold gave the vessel its bowl shape.
